Miscellaneous

What a year...I just love these kids. I had one of the most rewarding experiences of my life so far with this group. They're just a special combination of kids. They've been learning English for 3 years, so they know a lot. They had good teachers before, so they are knowledgeable and polite and respectful. My job was easy - I just kept them in line and excited about what we were learning. They can read, speak and write amazingly well for English being their second language and for only being 6 years old. Their little personalities have made a lasting impact on me and I will miss them so much.

Julius and David - usually they're running away from the camera, so I'm lucky to have got this one!

After the playroom on Thursdays, they're drenched with sweat and like to style their wet hair.

Sophia, Emily, Renee and Iris.

hclassocean.jpg
At least one kid was singing "Under the Seeeeeaaaaa!"

hclassxmasgroup.jpg
We taught our kids how to sing Melikilikimaka before we went to Hawaii at Christmas. They loved it!

Creating cards for each other at playtime - Rosie and Jennifer.

Jennifer - excellent artist, computer technician and Harrieta Potter.

Sally (in the middle) moved away, so we gave this picture to her as a gift.

hhallirissophia.jpg
Iris and Sophia - full of brains and beauty.

hhallchris.jpg
Chris plays hard and works hard. As you can see, it's time to get to business here.

Renee and Emily. Emily didn't like her butterfly wings. They kept appearing on other costumes.

hclassyoga.jpg
They know I go to yoga class, so they like to show me their moves.

Halloween amounted to superheroes and girls with wands.

hclasssallyrosie.jpg
Sally and Rosy. Rosy is a little detective and solves many mysteries in our classroom.

hkidssallyheather.jpg
Sally moved to California this summer and I'm sure her English is getting close to perfect now!

hclasstoyboxes.jpg
Cute kids in toy boxes - who could pass this photo op up - I mean, really...

hhallpaulalex.jpg
Paul and Alex. Can you almost hear their moan "Whyyyyyyyyyyyy Heather Teacher? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"

David. Some kids just grow in confidence so much in a short time - it's so fun to be a part of it.
